The Johnson Family tax practice has been serving the local community here in Carteret County since 1983. We handle small to moderate size corporations, partnerships, non-profits and personal tax return preparation and representation as well as payroll, sales tax and most all other forms of taxation for any business. Ralph N. (Nick) Johnson has been a lifelong resident of Carteret County. Born and raised in Atlantic, Nick has been in private practice in Morehead City for over 35 years. Experienced in resolving tax issues, Nick holds an Enrolled Agent designation from the Federal Government, and graduated from East Carolina University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.

James was born in Otway, Carteret County. Completing an undergraduate degree from Western Carolina in 2007, he obtained a Master’s in Business from Charleston Southern University in 2011. In 2016, he became a Certified Public Accountant and has been working in the tax profession for over a decade. He now works alongside his father, Nick, in Johnson Accounting.
